of Facebook Love
Of Facebook Love
We met around the end of spring
when I got a request
I guess it was one of those things
that Facebook would suggest
She messaged me out of the blue
we talked for hours on end
And by the time the night was up
I knew I'd found a friend
After a couple weeks had passed
I asked her on a date
We met up on July the fourth
and she seemed really great
I met most of her family
that came in from afar
That night we watched the fireworks
and laid beneath the stars
But when I was about to leave
it seemed that things had changed
She'd lost the sparkle in her eyes
and she was acting strange
When I got home she messaged me
and broke the news right then
She said it wasn't going to work
but we could still he friends
I've done this many times before
it always ends the same
They always leave me wondering
if I'm the one to blame
I'd met the same girl many times
but with a different face
If love is what you're looking for
then Facebook's not the place
We met around the end of spring
when I got a request
I guess it was one of those things
that Facebook would suggest
She messaged me out of the blue
