I Won't See The Sun
It seems like I am expecting
for these clouds to fade away
it seems as if I'm hoping
to get out someday soon
One by one, we all became numb
we are the victims in our society's useless eyes
I won't see the sun again
pounding on the walls, bloody fists throbbing
Something is wrong with this world
it's obvious that we are struggling
there is no way out, an endless labyrinth
One by one, we fight ourselves to see another day
My fellow citizens are falling
sliding down the wall
only to stare into the vast pit of darkness we all know
pulling the skin from their bones without regret
The silence keeps it somewhat easy
It keeps us safe for the moment
all I have is the memory of what we were
seeping through the probes in my head
One by one we line our precious wall
clawing at the cement that keeps us in
our legs give out, bodies failing
defeated bodies falling to the ground.
Nothing I can do will change this
it is now my time to go
bury me down beneath the gravel
and let my spirit die with my shame
for these clouds to fade away
it seems as if I'm hoping
to get out someday soon
One by one, we all became numb
we are the victims in our society's useless eyes
I won't see the sun again
