Mushroom Effect

This prairie here before my steps
Has long since been gone from me
The dandelions brightly smile
For they live their lives so happily
The tress are littered bright with green
Their arms outstretched so far away
The breathe the luscious rays of the sun
On such a beautifully created day
But as time slips by these happy places
Many things are lost in turn
The dandelions taste the poison
They begin to sink and slowly burn
The trees that stand so healthy grown
Turn from green to the blackest BLACK
Their bark splits open, burned and charred
Their roots uplift, bend, and crack
What once was beautiful within these eyes
Has now changed to black from green
This beauty rested within my heart
But my beauty within was seldom seen
Someone needs to come in Glory
To rearrange what has come to be
Someone needs to come as a savior
And save this life that is within me.
