My Petty Poem
The goal is to leave an imprint of me so deeply etched into your soul, that the next guy sees me when he gazes into your eyes.
I hope your hugs never feel right. Like jeans that don't quite fit. Because they were custom made for me
I hope he sees me in your smile
Hears the ghost of my jokes in your laughter
I wish you an eternity of awkward kisses
And a multitude of men that don't measure up
I know I may come across as petty
But I'll never be happy without you...so why should you be?
I hope your hugs never feel right. Like jeans that don't quite fit. Because they were custom made for me
I hope he sees me in your smile
Hears the ghost of my jokes in your laughter
I wish you an eternity of awkward kisses
And a multitude of men that don't measure up
I know I may come across as petty
But I'll never be happy without you...so why should you be?
