Game of Owns
I am a crescent moon
Hanging silver in a summer sky
Take a bite of me
And feel the glow
Come to me with teeth and armor
I will meet you in the open field
Tearing flesh and long fierce kisses
This dance decides who bows
Mud froths and stars lean in closer
Skin to skin we battle
Teeth flashing as my metal
Meets your sword
I radiate a stolen heat
Fuel your fire and
Stoke your strength
Your weapon strikes true
Grass churns and
The smell of raw earth
Baptize the joining of
Owner and owned
A glancing blow
And I am broken at your feet.
