Fallen Angel and The Beast

Twas a cold night.
the moon called for
the beast in me
to run free.

Away from these
devilish towers and
prison walls called humanity.

Away to my true nest
between mute redwoods
and roaring cascade

Step by Step
something was off
the birds did not
welcome me this time.
only the dead smothered love

Across the meadow
I drew closer
to the lake,
At rest
a vague shadow lay

and there my eyes laid
she had a sharp physique
filled with mystique
luminescent winter skin
emitting stardust
carried by the wind

pulling me in,
my desire swells
I could smell the sweet
scent of flesh
favored by the breeze

intrigued by the wind,
her brunette hair
softens in retreat

like Russian roulette
I took my chances and stood in awe
until the spell broke
with a shot of breath

twisting her sharp curves
she turns, bewildered
an eyeful of bitter

lust filters my senses beneath
the surface.
judgement lingers in whispers
only to become worthless

the beast pierced my soul
and took her by whole

she did not hesitate
for she knew
we were both the same
and of a different breed

we became one
under the celestial night,
sweated in ecstasy
until dawn broke light

I returned to my hellish of a life
until then, I'll be back my loving wife.
