Thunderstorms

You strike the earth, spreading like wildfire
A blinding light, that never tires
And you stop in front of me
Immediately I feel your presence
And I'm lost, soaring through your thunderstorm
Feeling relaxed as rain falls over my ever inch
As lightning strikes behind me
Raising the hair on my body
I touch your face for a brief second
And get shocked away, burned by your power
I want nothing more than to hold you
But I can't, we're separate beings
Light and darkness, power and weakness
I tell her these things belong together
That without one the other may not exist
And I feel myself begin to fall
I can see up past my feet that she watches me
Floating among the rain, as I fall towards the ocean
I single hand held out towards me
My arm reaches up as I watch her disappear behind the clouds
Then I hear her echoing scream
As lightning strikes in all directions
And the clouds disperse, thunder echoing all around
Her hands held to her head as she cried
Lightning and rain falling all around her
Then she begins to fall towards me
Her hand reaching to me, grasping mine in it
And she smiles at me through tears
She gave her power away just to be with me
For one last moment
With the last ounce of her strength she softens the blow
As we strike the water, going under
We float underwater for a moment and stare at each other
I reach out for her and nothing something is wrong
She lets out a big grin and shows her teeth, bubbles coming from her mouth, as if to say "thanks, see you later"
And she turns to a blue and slowly begins to disintegrate
I claw towards her trying to catch anything before she's gone
But she's gone and I surface in the middle of the ocean
And the blue spirit of hers explodes from the water into the sky then shoots into my very being. I see all her memories
Her whole life, her pain, her misery, her want for love. When I wake on the beach, there's no more thunderstorm, just sunshine.........Just me...and the sun...
