ALL BECAUSE OF YOU

 I know what sometimes you ruminate about me;
Pardon my annoying incursion into your mental privacy
But you’re the reason why I always share my poetry
Now I’m thanking you for always reading my works fervently
Don’t ask me how I make these words rhyme; it’s a mystery

So perplexing; you’ll be surprised that I can read your mind
Now you think I’m crazy just coz I'm addicted to writing rhymes
But I can bet you’re struck with awe reading these words of mine
You wonder what inspires me” the odd question I ask myself all the time
Looking inward I see God’s reflection, the essence of my existence I find
My words are no braille but they are felt even by the blind
I never made myself a wordsmith” I guess this gift is divine
Who am I to reject this blessing and curse” it’s God’s design
My clairvoyance is revealed to perceptive minds to see the signs

A humble artist is who I am, depicting my world through art
Someday when you think of me with reverence
Just remember my passion was never broken; I played my part
My words are expressions of emotions from the nadirs of my heart
To some folks my words heal wounds, sometimes they hurt feelings
Sometimes my words stir resentment against this cruel life we're living
Sometimes my words give hope to lost souls searching for life’s meaning
Lessons taught by experience there’s more blessing in giving than receiving

I’m not taking credit for every impact made I’m just a vessel been used
To God be the glory if by His grace a soul is liberated from been abused
Life is beautiful but this world is evil; nothing makes me feel amused
My path was laid before my conception as a soul rebel don’t get me confused
My goal in life is to make a difference not just to exist like most folks do
If you can relate to every word I write then I’m dedicating this to you
I’m thankful for your understanding and support believe me is true
Now I realize the reason why I always write is all because of you
