Good cannot exist without evil

I am not sure which emotion is more lethal,
Hate or guilt...
No doubt, both of them are extremely toxic, but which is more preferable ?
Hate is incredibly lonely, which only fuels the hate
And guilt is dreadfully crowded, which ignites the fire
So which is it then?
Hate leaves an unbelievable mark
And guilt? slithers by unseen, unheard
Well one might argue, that the hate is rightfully distributed, or earned
Oh and don't forget the guilt was waiting dutifully for your arrival.
And don't forget, my friend, you bought the ticket.
Does that ease the pain for you?
Probably not, but there's this.
Hate and guilt roam together as an inseparable pair.
They linger down the same hall, one lagging slightly behind the other
But I'll give you the secret you've all been waiting for,
Neither, they incapable of existing alone, so the emotions now become coherent with one another
And now arises a new question
How to defeat the retched pair of evil, or at least "beat it to the punch", so to speak:
Standards ( lacking of) and contentiousness
And with that? evil dissipates along with happiness
And seldom forget; Satisfaction is not equivalent to happiness.
