The Bear and the Dancing Crane

Why does the bear with all his heart
Love the dancing crane?
For whilst she twirls with other birds
It only brings him pain.

All night long she twists and whirls
With birds that are so flawless,
The bear just stands alone, resigned,
He cannot take the stress.

A deafening roar erupts within
But dies to just a squeak,
He can't tell the way he feels
Or barely even speak.

Deep despair washes through him,
But then he knows the answer,
And from his soul he feels that
He must woo the graceful dancer.

A clumsy bow and heavy feet
Come to an awkward stutter,
But then the crane she curtsies back
And sets his heart a flutter.

They twist and whirl all night long
Neither one can falter,
For now they're in each other's arms
They'll make it to the altar.
