The soft wind blows
From here to there
Where did it come from
Where will it go
Nobody knows
Flower's fragrance
Lightly on the air
What secrets are hidden
Beneath their pretty faces
Nobody knows
The sun shines
Burning away shadows
What sights were unseen
In their cool darkness
Nobody knows
Yesterday's gone, tomorrow's unseen
Today provides all that we need
What needs will be uncovered
Who will share our deeds

Sometimes words flow
Setting ideas free

Thanks for the kind words, here's some insight. I wrote this after giving a magic show at work (I'm an engineer) illustrating via card magic situations where the impossible becomes the probable... I thought it would help improve interpersonal relationships. The show went well, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. It got me thinking about where do ideas come from, when are things scheduled vs done, and what can we do to get an improved situation in life... I was left with nobody knows, and wrote this piece...
The last two verses, were written for friends, colleagues, siblings, that have recently experienced either the death, or debilitating illness, of someone close...
Also, I tried to write about all our senses of reality, and how we experience things, but we still don't know what will (or did) happen. So, nobody knows....

Maybe ist too farfetched but I think this poem might be a preciously done extended version of my plain haiku about "second chances".
This poem's insightful and wise, doesn't answer questions but arises them, very skillfully done.

I'm honored to have my scribblings compared to your insightful piece. But, you're right, I did suggest growing "Second Chances" a little, so maybe it was the seed for this, and life was the watering...
