Withn These Walls

Life's not hard
To understand...
Politicians
Like you and I ...
Work'in, liv'in
Off this land
Mak'in money...
To pay the band

Lights are dim
Shadows long
Kids are grown
Long time gone
Friendly smile
Still warms my heart
Sparkl'in eyes
Will set me free

Another day
Has come and gone
Sun did shine
Wind did blow
We're standing here
You and I
Fellow inmates
Within these walls

Been together
For a while
Laughs we've shared
Sorrows, too
I still wave
To say good bye
And still smile
When you say hi
If I could
I would do it
All again

These old hands
Can still hold you
Take you gently
In these arms
Danc'in slowly
In our time
Still enjoy'in
All your charms

Another day
Has come and gone
Sun did shine
Wind did blow
We're lying here
You and I
Long time lovers
Within these walls
