Harsh Truths
You gently fed me empty words
but filled me with physical joys.
Back then the lies seemed less absurd
in the harmony of your voice.
In hindsight I've become aware
You gave me what you thought I sought
to hide the truth: you didn't care.
What I wanted couldn't be bought.
Remember when you made a vow
That you couldn't live without me?
That's the reason why you're dead now,
As I laugh at the irony.
