I just want...

 I don’t seek no fortunes,
Money leaves me cold,
Dreams of wealth mean nothing,
Hardly worth the thought,
Used to dream of riches,
Now that I have grown,
I just want to offer
This orphan child a home.

I don’t need no trouble,
Money brings them all,
People should be happy,
Money makes them sore,
I’m ok with little,
Little’s all I know,
I just want to offer
This orphan child a home.

I don’t need no limelight
Cash don’t make me strong,
Thought I needed thousands,
Hundreds are enough,
I feel old and empty,
Pointless in the world,
I just want to offer
This orphan child a home.

I don’t ask for favours,
I don’t need no gold,
Fifty girls beside me,
Still I’d be alone,
I don’t pray. Forgive me.
Church, I never go,
I just want to offer
This orphan child a home.

All the cash and comfort,
Everything men want,
Couldn’t buy me reason,
Couldn’t make me loved,
Don’t need cars and paper,
Don’t care if I’m broke,
I just want to offer
This orphan child a home.
