I Fell in Love
Yesterday,
I fell in love,
With a character
In a book.
I don’t know,
How tall she was,
How much she weighed,
The color of her hair,
The tint of her skin,
How old she was,
Where she was from,
Who her parents were.
In her,
I found,
Truth,
Honesty,
Fair play,
Joy,
Kindness,
Thankfulness.
A love of the world,
In which she lived.
From,
Her thoughts,
Her actions,
Her living,
I fell in love with her.
I fell in love,
With a character
In a book.
I don’t know,
How tall she was,
How much she weighed,
The color of her hair,
The tint of her skin,
How old she was,
Where she was from,
Who her parents were.
In her,
I found,
Truth,
Honesty,
Fair play,
Joy,
Kindness,
Thankfulness.
A love of the world,
In which she lived.
From,
Her thoughts,
Her actions,
Her living,
I fell in love with her.

I too have sometimes fallen in love
with some strange characters..:)
I really like this, it got me thinking -
who are my favourite fictional would-be
lovers...

That train of thought will, likely, lead to some interesting self conversations.
Thank you for taking the time to both read and to comment.

I think, I have never loved a book where I did not also love one of the characters. (I will need to think more on it, but I think that is true.)
Thank you for both reading and leaving a comment. (Sadly, as we all know, so many read but fail to leave comments.)

I agree. The best features to fall for are those not always quickly seen.

Fictional or not, it's always the main character we fall for.
Great read.
Great read.

Would that it was always the "main" character we fall for. Some marry the main character but find their love elsewhere.
I'm glad you enjoyed reading my work.

Ah, yes! Can most definitely relate to falling for a character! Really shows that the most precious things are those which reside within. Now, if only more people would apply that same notion to reality, I think they would find themselves in more sincere and authentic connections with others.

If literature reflects life, then why can't our behavior in life reflect literature --in choosing whom to love?
