Unchained Soul
Praying for deliverance on calloused knees
left me crippled in waiting
Unworthiness seeped into my cells
while hopelessness took me over
Waiting for a miracle
that my neighbors received after fornication
I weep in a way that words can't describe
like the statue of Mother Mary crying bloody tears
Tell me the order in which we are to receive
when the best of me is all I give?
Maybe in my next life
I'll find my soul unchained
Can I help you?
left me crippled in waiting
Unworthiness seeped into my cells
while hopelessness took me over
Waiting for a miracle
that my neighbors received after fornication
I weep in a way that words can't describe
like the statue of Mother Mary crying bloody tears
Tell me the order in which we are to receive
when the best of me is all I give?
Maybe in my next life
I'll find my soul unchained
Can I help you?
