I love the ocean
deep and dark
its surface churned
by Sun's far spark

the atmosphere
which skips along
from wave to wave
it sings a song

of long ago
of yet to come
ocean, air and Sun
all one

with we who live here
by the shore
with those who fly above
and soar

higher higher
deeper still
peace endures
we know we will

escape the turmoil
all around
entranced entrained
by nature's sound -

I love the motion
standing still
our planet spins in space
we will

return again in time
to face
today tomorrow's
quickening pace

ever higher
deep within
altogether
we have been

here before
we will come back
from wave to wave
there is no lack

of nature's music
melodies
