Black porch white porch
I saw a man with such distain
fire in his eye, not much sense in his brain
set 'cross from a set of two guns
and me and him spoke as he spit
in a bucket don't quite quit
until the sun comes on sunday
and not work till Tuesday
so sleep isn't impossible
and they never knew his name
and he never accepted blame
until a plain man came
and now he doesn't dream
Knew a girl blind as bat
she held her in her arms a cat
it was soon hers lived in her purse
she was owned by a man who cursed
and his name was unknown
till in jail he was thrown
that cat bit her to the bone
and that house was made of gas
and its only a figment of the past
black porch
white porch
burned with a torch
one each of side of a fence
and two sets guns
with t'v cameras
I'll point at me
and have one on you....
fire in his eye, not much sense in his brain
set 'cross from a set of two guns
and me and him spoke as he spit
in a bucket don't quite quit
until the sun comes on sunday
