Bleeding
She pulls the blade across her skin.
Slowly,
Steadily.
Her eyes have been holding back these tears,
all of them she has been holding back for years.
Locked her door because that's all she fears.
Only at night does it come out,
the pain she was never told about.
During the day she will hide it away,
break into her and find all the rain.
Smile.
It covers her arms.
The foul word that to her was repeated.
Smile,
Smile,
Smile.
Even when you're sad,
smile.
Even when you're angry,
smile.
Now the smile is carved into her arms.
Now people will see she is happy by far!
She cut the smile into her cheeks.
Watched it and allowed it to bleed.
Blood fell from her cheeks,
from her wrists,
from her thighs,
from her stomach.
Smiles.
Smiles in blood.
Now she feels feint,
If only she knew this was her fate.
Slowly,

Even when you're angry,
smile.
Now the smile is carved into her arms.
Now people will see she is happy by far!
She cut the smile into her cheeks.

Smiles in blood.
Now she feels feint,
If only she knew this was her fate.
