Longing at Night

Find me
You will know when you see me
I'm the girl looking up the skies
I watch the moon like the mother
Of the stars forming patterns of wonder
"Selene and her babies," I think
"from her countless love affairs"
I smile a little

Find me
I'm the girl who's shirtless.
I want my skin bared to the night
I like feeling the wind
From my slightly open window
As my thoughts run outside
Inside
Wherever it goes

Find me
I am alone with my shadows
Once in a while I sway
And they sway with me
I can never get away

Find me
For I am waiting patiently
For you to hold me
As we make stories about the moon
About the creatures of the night

Find me
So our kisses can light up our worlds
A light that rivals Selene's smile
And touches that make everything magical
Because with us,
With the lights off it's brighter

Fly through the night and enter my room
Enter my world
Come, whoever you are
I will let you in
With no doubts
No hesitation

For I will know who you are
My heart will recognize you
I know this.
Come find me.
