Parker Drive

She closes her eyes and starts the ignition
The gasoline mixes with the scent of her perfume
It's her last stand, her final mission
Her parents think she's in her room

But she's miles away, feeling alive
She knows it ends today, on Parker Drive

Through the suburbs,through the backstreets
Heading to the place where flesh and pavement meet
Past the cliched reasons and teen angst
Or so she thinks she races against
But perhaps the end is just the end
She'll know when she's around the bend

She's miles away, feeling alive
She knows it ends today, on Parker Drive

The steering wheel stays still
Her eyes are wide
Dead-on collision, final thrill
The oncoming bus heads towards homicide

She's miles away, feeling alive
She knows it ends today, on Parker Drive

Crash!
