Image for the poem Biting her lip

Biting her lip

She bites her lip and tilts her head to view
Her feet, while he presides and he observes
The errors she's committed and will rue;
But have her mistakes always just occurred
To give him opportunities? They're deep
Enough to warrant punishment at once;
But, since such remedies help her to sleep
With beatific smiles, after the dance,
She dreams she may well have to entertain
The force he'll exercise, which she'd prefer;
So, she presents herself and will remain
Indebted to him as he finds a cure
For all the wicked ways, that she'd admit
Give her good reason to bite at her lip.
