For What Its Worth
" I love you. Don't do this."
Those words still ring in my ears,
they still echo like venom, a poison.
"I never loved you."
Harsh and untrue words
because God even know
how I loved this man
with all my heart.
Every time my heart beat,
it beat for him.
For his touch,
For his voice,
For his kiss.
I loved a man,
A man I knew I would never have
happily ever after with,
but i loved him anyway
because for once,
it felt like the right thing to do.
I wanted to love and lose again,
I wanted to cry
and scream your name.
I wanted to reach out my and
and meet nothing but cold air
because for those few short months
when I was everything to you
it made all the pain
I would have to endure,
worth it.
Those words still ring in my ears,
they still echo like venom, a poison.
"I never loved you."
Harsh and untrue words
because God even know
how I loved this man
with all my heart.
Every time my heart beat,
it beat for him.
For his touch,
For his voice,
For his kiss.
I loved a man,
A man I knew I would never have

but i loved him anyway
because for once,

I wanted to love and lose again,

and scream your name.
I wanted to reach out my and
and meet nothing but cold air
because for those few short months
when I was everything to you
it made all the pain
I would have to endure,
