Eyes open shut

I'm never ever gonna rest
Can't believe it's not over yet
This dream I scream from within
Eyes open shut with unseen death

I hide behind blood shot eyes of horror
A darkness blankets the thoughts I have
Blood splattered walls of gore and doom
A certain nightmare that will end real bad

I toss and turn in a bed of sweat and terror
Running in place I've said my grace in silence
I've sworn I wouldn't let the demons in again
But as I sleep my memories bring the violence

My heart races inside my chest as I try to rest
The thoughts I have chase me down dark holes
Dreams surface upon my mind and I lose time
Visions so wicked that my only friends are ghouls.
