you see me
Part time, in my right mind
Half the time I'm running behind
One foot off and one right on track
Too head strong to see what I lack
Scrounge for days around my pages
Too slow to know, too quick to react
On a fine line with too much slack
How and why always on my back
I'm OK with relatively crazy
Boxes never caged me
Sliding slopes, swinging ropes
Chasing clouds or coming down
I believe you when you say
You can see the real me
And you like me anyway
Stressed out on doubt, strung out on hope
Turn around and I can't be found
Treading ground is how I cope
Spread thin but I won't give in
They say "you stay too far, don't know who you are"
I say "I can't explain, it's just my way"
Feet on the move to a different groove
But I'm fine; you see me and I see you
I'm OK with relatively crazy
Boxes never caged me
Sliding slopes, swinging ropes
Chasing clouds or coming down
I believe you when you say
You can see the real me
And you like me anyway
