The Wish of a Dreamer
Everyone has eyes for seeing, yet some are blind.
A brain for knowledge, yet some are impaired.
Ears for listening, yet some willingly ignore,
A heart for love, yet some cannot retain it,
And a wish for dreaming, yet some cannot make them come true.
If only we could awaken the blind eyes to what we cannot see, diminish all thoughts of insecurity, and perhaps even help those that ignore the cries of sorrow so that anyone and everyone, each with a unique heart, to be able to feel and understand that they are loved.
Like an innocent child crying out for its mother, we too, cry out for acceptance and love from one another.
My wish as a dreamer is to fill the hearts of my peers, my enemies, and those I have yet to meet, with the knowledge that every single living being out there is loved in some way or another.
Too many times, I have seen people fall as the autumn leaves do when they lose their last bit of strength in attempts to cling to the branches of life in which they come from.
Too many times, I have asked myself how many lost tragedies will it take before someone does something...or perhaps even notice enough to do something more.
