Enjoying the Day
On the first day she felt heat from the sun
In a long time, she stretched and arched and preened;
Then wondered at the warmth, that had begun
To make her feel delighted, yet demeaned
To realise that, despite winter's chill;
And the fact there were shadows in the room,
Her fingers felt so hot - they'd not stay still
A single moment - she would reach so soon,
Behind the lacy curtain, as she pleased
Herself and, thus, relieved the gentle ache,
That nestled there, insisting that she teased
And toyed, as she prepared for him to wake
And seize her hair - he'd make for rougher play:
The sun was out - she would enjoy the day.
In a long time, she stretched and arched and preened;
Then wondered at the warmth, that had begun
To make her feel delighted, yet demeaned
To realise that, despite winter's chill;
And the fact there were shadows in the room,
Her fingers felt so hot - they'd not stay still
A single moment - she would reach so soon,
Behind the lacy curtain, as she pleased
Herself and, thus, relieved the gentle ache,
That nestled there, insisting that she teased
And toyed, as she prepared for him to wake
And seize her hair - he'd make for rougher play:
The sun was out - she would enjoy the day.
