Whispering Demons

An overwhelming feeling surges from within.
I can see the darkness start to begin.
A surge of a demon stirring inside.
A disease I swore to leave behind.
Grasping and clawing for a way out.
Constantly it searches for a new route.
Tormenting my mind every breathing second.
Clouding my thoughts with a persuasive beckon.
Tainting my heart and creating a blackness.
Consuming my soul displaying a sadness.
Whispers in my ears its just a matter of time.
Voices crying out that you're simply mine.
Idleness draws the days out steeper.
While boredom creates my plunge a little deeper.
A war I face on a domestic front.
Disorienting my heart I don't know what I want.
Right and wrong fight for control.
Beyond confused I can't see my next goal.
Tracks pointing out the road to a world in bliss.
Persuasive words in an overbearing hiss.
Desires for the numbness once again arise.
The demon mutters you almost won the grand prize.
Torn at the seam I struggle for my salvation.
How I do I stop this demon's desecration?
