The Thrill of the Chaste
There can be many degrees of refusal.
They can run from "NO!" to "Not yet"
They can be gagued from smiles
Or twinkling eyes
Or scowls you'd best soon forget.
When faced with utter denial,
you should probably start facing the fact.
Just accept it, son,
You ain't getting none,
Except maybe a kick in the sack.
Then there's the maiden, demure,
Who is wide eyed and pleasant and coy.
They can be persuaded
And their underwear raided,
If you're good with the patter, my boy.
I've never been much of a player
Mutual respect is a need.
Lest a silly mistake
Leads my face, you to rake,
And then i'll be left there to bleed.
I dont tend to go in for the easy.
Preferring the thrill of the chaste
A little pursuit
Can often bear fruit
And is sweeter than lust gone to waste.
For now, though, the chase is behind me
My lover has an abundance of lust
So no more chasing goals
Of anonymous holes
As i have all the ones i can trust.
They can run from "NO!" to "Not yet"
They can be gagued from smiles
Or twinkling eyes
Or scowls you'd best soon forget.
