crushes lust
when you do it right...
love enlightens
brings elation
promotes trust
don't make it a fight...
love isolates
stifles spirits
elevates disgust
embrace feelings of delight...
love heals
disengages sorrows
conquers distrust
an anguished love is never alright...

Deborah, you define the limits of love very well, pointing out how it can be suffocating when it starts to cling. Then, when it becomes a struggle, love stifles and isolates. Then, when done correctly, it heals. You conclude by observing that desperate love doesn't work. You're a wise woman, and I hope you find peace in your romances. This poem's a good start.

It's natural or nothing at all.
The right love intertwines with lust, twin pendulums, bringing an amazing ring when they collide.
