Shade of a Voiceless Echo

These fucking chains are heavy with the weight of the world
Like a demon scarred angel with tattered wings unfurled
Drifting deeper into madness clinging to silk webs
At home with the spider, her venom, eating away the dead

I hear voices from poisoned tongues
Screaming from lacerated lungs
Questioning their morality
Holiness tainted with cruelty

Eternal fires burning brighter than infernal
Engines of warfare eagerly answering the call
Send the godless to do God’s dirty and shameful job
To keep Heaven clean of the hordes of man, it is so macabre

I suffer with my due
All my demons speak the truth

Beside this stone, shackled below
Heaven and all its shadows
Cannot atone for all of my wrongs
I’m a shade of a voiceless echo

Pure corruption of the soul, bask in a sea of blood
The moon, she sung sweet melodies, I lay in the mud
Bodies tumble in the feasting pit, kings to the least
To suffer in agony, served at the banquet of the beast

I am burdened with forever
Standing here shackled and severed
Like Atlas underneath the sky
Damned to suffer but never die

Golden times have long since passed into obscurity
Given way to the hold, the iron fist of anarchy
Smashing order, the odor of man, assaulting gods
Removing the mists, the veil hiding the truth of martyred frauds

I suffer with my due
All my demons speak the truth

Beside this stone, shackled below
Heaven and all its shadows
Cannot atone for all of my wrongs
I’m a shade of a voiceless echo

In crimson ink
I will, I think
Pen my confession
Trapped in this Hell
I know all too well
In submission
The devil’s laughter
Facing slaughter
His rearing horns
Enhancing madness
In the grip of darkness
I’ve been reborn

Embracing my fate, no longer lost and so afraid
With my chin held high, there in the devil’s eye today
I meet my maker as an equal, not as a slave
I strain against cruelty’s stone finally break the chains

I suffered for my dues
All my demons spoke the truth

Beside the stone, freedom below
Heaven and all its shadows
Cannot atone for all of my wrongs
Now my shade is the loudest echo
