Questioning our free will

We call ourselves superior,
Yet we seek guidance?
Looking into life's interior,
We're writer's of our own book,
Yet we seek answers,
Praying someone can hear us.

We've never been free,
Forever tied back by a ruler,
Nothing but ants are we,
Awaiting our next command.

Slaves to our own questions,
What's when they're answered?
Nothing changes..we only get our fix, fueling us.

Each with our own purpose,
We have our free will, why not use it?
Every question answered is another dose, and every dose is a question unanswered,
Keeping us enslaved as if it changes the outcome.

Humanity tread too carefully,
Scared of what we don't know.
A free mind is one with no questions.
Just go! Do as you please! No holding back.
With no questions are only choices,
Scared of the outcome,
Can we choose without knowing the answers?

Afraid of risk,
Afraid of the unknowing,
We cower and turn to our masters for guidance like mindless drones.
