Boxing by his rules
The referee comes out and asks for a clean fight
As the light shine on you and its turning out quite bright
He comes out with a feint and a duck
Hissing that you're out of luck
He throws the first punch and now it is your turn
He moves waiting to see the fire he just lit and to watch you birn
As you punch and kick and try to hit a solid blow
You're compelled to block since he's still aiming low
He grins and has a slight shrug
Its becoming clear that he is nothing more than just a thug
He abides by his own rules
Making everyone else look like fools
He seems to think his rules are the only ones that count
But he forgets that he is nearly at the same amount
In the ring you punch and you push
Even if you have to land on your own tush
At least you weren't boxing by his rules
As the light shine on you and its turning out quite bright
He comes out with a feint and a duck
Hissing that you're out of luck
He throws the first punch and now it is your turn
He moves waiting to see the fire he just lit and to watch you birn
As you punch and kick and try to hit a solid blow
You're compelled to block since he's still aiming low
