Lonely Nights
Who said time heals?
They lied.
In my heart I wish I could say,
“There’s no memory of you here.”
But for me, the art of losing is not hard to master,
Because losing you has been my biggest disaster.
Now I’m acquainted with lonely nights
As I walk alone down sadness lane,
Feeling the cold
And thinking how warm it used to be.
Yet, you just left me and didn’t call back
Or say goodbye.
Boy! I sure do miss you.
Time didn’t heal anything
For now I’m well acquainted with lonely nights.
They lied.
In my heart I wish I could say,
“There’s no memory of you here.”
But for me, the art of losing is not hard to master,
Because losing you has been my biggest disaster.
Now I’m acquainted with lonely nights
As I walk alone down sadness lane,
Feeling the cold
And thinking how warm it used to be.
Yet, you just left me and didn’t call back
Or say goodbye.
Boy! I sure do miss you.
Time didn’t heal anything
For now I’m well acquainted with lonely nights.
