How Do You Want To Be Remembered?

Criticism is a word our society takes negatively,
When we are criticized
Someone is disapproving our behavior
Or pointing out our flaws and mistakes.

Yet, how can we learn,
If we resist others opinions?

What do you want to be when you grow up?
How do you want to be remembered by others?
Do you want to be known
As kind, gentle, and respected,
Or,a selfish asshole?

All of us want to be loved,
Yet,are you loving?
What’s the point of being a friend?

Pride is an enemy
That keeps us in prison of our own making.

Try to correct someone
And they say “Thanks for the lecture or sermon.”
Or,they become defensive
And verbally attack you,
But don’t reject criticism
Because it’s a chance to make yourself better.
