Conversations From A Bus Stop #1 - Platitude As Attitudes
If only you
Could see past the hate
With a clean pair of eyes,
Through the seas of hatred
Through the hurt and the lies.
Clearly you know nothing
Of how other cultures live
Your narrow mindedness
Reminds me there is no help to give.
Only through education
Can you hope to find understanding
Through understanding
Can we find peace,
The skin of another
Does not mark a man
Intelligence equals thinking
I've seen lesser men turn and ran.
Alas you must continue
To dance amongst the raindrops
With fingers in your ears
And your racist attitudes
Fuelling your dumfounding fears.
Could see past the hate
With a clean pair of eyes,
Through the seas of hatred
Through the hurt and the lies.
Clearly you know nothing
Of how other cultures live
Your narrow mindedness
Reminds me there is no help to give.
Only through education
Can you hope to find understanding
Through understanding
Can we find peace,
The skin of another
Does not mark a man
Intelligence equals thinking
I've seen lesser men turn and ran.
Alas you must continue
To dance amongst the raindrops
With fingers in your ears
And your racist attitudes
Fuelling your dumfounding fears.
