I take this as an effort to find balance between doubt and certainty. There's confusion between different impulses ("Am I doing the right thing?") and informed decision making, which comes when doubt is finally eliminated or at least minimized. The lines are shaky individually, but combined reveal the complete picture. Then one can get it straight. Fine job, Miranda.
