The Door to Nothingness
The moon's so bright,
But my spirits so dim,
There's too much pain to feel within,
Choking down the bitterness,
Waiting for sensation to ignite,
My mind now closed,
Thoughts now dead,
Only pleasure inside my head,
Escaping from the dark that's cornered me,
My eyes are now too blind to see,
A slow death I do induce,
No happiness left to produce,
I've opened the door to nothingness,
Filled my mind with emptiness,
Wandered off into the black,
Don't ever want to come back,
Crawled through the void of time,
How could this be a crime?,
To run from fear, from anger, and pain,
Little I know I'm slowly slain,
Opened the door to nothingness,
If I return, I'll feel the mess.
But my spirits so dim,
There's too much pain to feel within,
Choking down the bitterness,
Waiting for sensation to ignite,
My mind now closed,
Thoughts now dead,
Only pleasure inside my head,
Escaping from the dark that's cornered me,
My eyes are now too blind to see,
A slow death I do induce,
No happiness left to produce,
I've opened the door to nothingness,
Filled my mind with emptiness,
Wandered off into the black,
Don't ever want to come back,
Crawled through the void of time,
How could this be a crime?,
To run from fear, from anger, and pain,
Little I know I'm slowly slain,
Opened the door to nothingness,
If I return, I'll feel the mess.
