Awakening
she heared the Whirling sound,
Frozen
she felt the trickling warmth
Broken
under the sheet she searches for her mind
lost and hidden
she pulled her heart
Shreds
she held her mind
Deformed
she heared the sound
Loud
she held her head
Falling
curled to ball,
Shivering
she felt the cold
not in her bones
but her withering soul
she leaps to her reflection
The girl she is stares back
In hysteria she shrinks
curled at the floor of her shadow
Bring me back to my light
Pleads
Bring me back to my light
outside the wind Whirrs on
voices of men
and infants-
Alive
Like a bolt she pounces on it
Bangs on the mirror
Bloodless bruises
Groaning curses
Praying wishes
Breaking the girl on the mirror
Isnt breaking the girl staring at the girl in the mirror
Bring me back to my light
Pleads
Bring me back to my light
The wind whirls on
The girl cries on
The world moves on
From the feet of her broken shadows she rises-
Strength
In her palms she catches a tear
Strength
She held her head in its place
Stares into the broken mirror
Fire.
So is her past
As the broken mirror
Rising.
The wind whirls on
Outside the birds dances
Children builds sand castles
And the sky bluer
Lying in the trash bin is the broken mirror of an awakened girl
