You ask me what am I thinking when I
look inside you
and you see me looking through you,
as if I thought.
And how in the beginning, it was a
point of issue in
that you thought, you had received
not my undivided
attention and as I tried to, and I did and
you understand.
So briefly, in explanation as no enigma
can, with you do I.
Know too that no two enigmas are
alike and as such
they are going to understand this and
it helps you to
grow together, while spiraling apart to
meet the end.
For the contrivance of complication is
simple deceit, and
deceit, contrived is a simple matter for
my generals and we
were not at war, as were so many, who
thought they knew.
That two enigmas laid end to end,
should never taste defeat.

Fascinating poem, Udre. Enigmas should meet on equal terms, and try to understand each other. Suspicion, animosity, rivalry, treachery to be avoided as toxins. I see you're from Haiti. I wrote a poem a couple of weeks ago called "The Power of Suggestion." It involves Papa Legba, and the possible psychological power of Voodoo, of which I know little. I do know something about the psychology of fear. You might not know much about Voodoo either, and I might be making quick assumptions about you given where you live. If so forgive me. The poem is more a look at the psychological power of suggestion rather than the religion itself. The poem may present Legba as a lurid symbol, which also may be unfair. I understand that Legba is believed to be the liaison between humanity and the Loa, the Voodoo spirit world. In the poem he's more or less a reflection of one man's ignorance and fear. I'd really like your opinion on the poem, and, again, I mean no offense if I'm making any assumptions. Thanks for pointing your Enigma out to me. I enjoyed the read.

One can not help but think in metaphysical terms in deciphering this gem. Nicely done!
