Through the silence
my desire
persisting
like residue
left behind after
blown away ashes
The thought of you
is when the quiet happens
It brings me to shadows
cast over lost feelings
strewn across my bedroom floor
It's not what it was
or what it is
or the lie of what it could be
It's the sadness in your eyes
how our expressions mingle
under nights disguise
All the while I hang by
the blissful dream
that one day...
...you would be mine
