When (written by another great poet)
When
When did I turn to substances rather than humans?
It eats away at me till I am nothing but ruins.
It was supposed to be a onetime thing,
But now all I can do is binge.
Nowhere to run; I've hit the wall,
Helplessness makes my skin crawl.
The shivers coming in waves, overbearing.
The need has been completely overwhelming.
A slave to addiction that's who I am
The dealer has died and I am damned
