the purpose of peripherals
is to allow a better view
a complete picture of
the central, focus, or key issue
the shades of grey
that borders a decision
points that often remain unseen
because of tunnel vision
between seen and unseen
lies many hues
it really all depends
on the vantage point you choose
how you look at things
your outlook on life
positively or negatively
helps decipher strife
optimized vision, clearly
see all self delusion

reality from illusion

I can't help but be amused by this because I've had to undergo a series of tests for my peripheral vision due to glaucoma, which has so far been surgically corrected. Not to worry. That's kind of beside the point. Your poem takes a very strong view on the necessity to consider a variety of perspectives. Keep an open mind at all times. And try to comprehend the thinking of those around you before locking down on your own thoughts. This is a very cleverly written poem, with its two line stanza structure and rhyme scheme. It's also very wise. Great job, poeticDesire.

so glad to hear your surgery went well, and thanks for reading and the awesome feedback...made me smile cause i was at the optometrist as i wrote this lol..thats where i got this pic from actually ,it hangs in the waiting room...it had me completely mesmerized...and well this was the end result anyways thanks again for the lovely comment :)

Yes very enlightening and related I to see a struggle for people to be open minded and look past what they have tunnle visioned on.
