Prison of Hades

I am in the chains
Linked to my fate.
I come tied to the valleys
Of my downward spiral.
I drag my feet
Gripped in what I fooled myself
To forge my life into.

My darkest heart
Cold as a rock,
Struggling its normal beat
Like consumed poison,
Reminding me that
I gave my soul to
The keeper of infernal labor
To provide him service
While my legs are weighed down
In icy chains to slow my steady pace.
Never completing the deadly projects,
Yet I stutter and freak
In maniacal frustration,
I scratch myself till I bleed internally.

In this world a discharge
Has never existed,
Whereas I shall remain a slave,
A slave in horrendous labor
In my own prison of Hades
As the sensation succeeds
To overwhelm me repeatedly.
For I can never reach the surface
In the light of a chance
Of my remaining time of life
To seek out my niche.

Carrying out my final moment
I grab for an object,
Stating my last pleas
Knowing it is too late.
In my chains
That destroyed my dignity
My self execution
Was now in order
As I suffocate after
One full breath.

It is here in my own prison
That I pass on
During my corruptive labor
Held in the hands of Hades.
