Opposite Land
In opposite land Id never lie
Be two faced?, Id rather die
What you’d see is what you’d get
No anxiety, no need to fret
In opposite land we’d all be slim
Never chubby always trim
Image proud, mirror kissed
Your arse would not look big in this
In opposite land we’d never die
We’d never moan, we’d never cry
Always Smiley, happy, shiny
Never sad, never whiney
In opposite land there’d be no hate
We’d love each other without debate
No need collecting ethnic data
The colour of our skin just wouldn’t matter
In opposite land no child abuse
Where children smile with no excuse
Playing long, happy fun
Love and hugs when their days’ done
In opposite land there’d be no Gods
No holy wars, or suicide squads
No bigotry, nor fear of hell
No book to make us all compel
In opposite land Id hold your hand
You’d never feel that sinking sand
I’d take you to your happy place
No need to sigh or hide your face
In opposite land I’d be your friend
Id stand by you until the end
Respect and love you such a lot
Id care for you no matter what
I wish I was different to what is the norm
Much motivated instead of just lukewarm
Despite the fact I do try my best
I’m sorry to say, I’m just like the rest
I’m muddled, flawed and sometimes obtuse
I use being human as a form of excuse
Unfortunately, reality bites the hand
We cannot live in Opposite land
