Merriment and Tragedy

God damn your well wishes
I care not for your paltry god
Or his supposed birth
What a fake, what a fraud

Do I look merry to you?
I spit the eggnog in your face
Do I enjoy shining baubles
When it all seems to be a waste?

What kind of legitimate god
Would demand a celebration like this
I’ll tell you what, a wasted fraud
“Worship me while you, I fist”

I will not suffer
But I will incur
The so called might
Of a man made idol
I will pave the way
As He withers away
An icon that’s obsolete
In this time of theaters
Of tragedy

I am the grinch fucking your Christmas cheer
Smoking your pining children and drinking your beer
I am the blood in the snow when you die
The mourning gifts of shit, I am the tears you cry

So take your merriment
And shove it up your righteous ass
With the stockings and wreaths
Save baby Jesus for last

I have a gift just for you
Slap in the face with reality
A knuckle sandwich for your feast
The burning of your Christmas tree

So string the guts like it’s garland
And paint the town red in crimson delight
I won’t bend a knee to a man
Burn the town in fire light

You should not suffer
Of I will incur
The so called wrath
Of a man made idol
He has paved the way
With the ages of hate
An icon that’s obsolete
In this time of theaters
Of tragedy
