Organism
Organism
Synapses connect pathways,
cells hold each other together to form nerves,
to form tissues and muscles,
hydraulic pressure controlled by the heart,
specialized cells stick together,
attracted to what they most relate to.
Bonds.
Community
People, made of cells, become cells
Ethnicity, nationality, culture, political affiliation,
tying each person to each other,
Specialized beliefs stick together
hiding the aspects that don’t fit
to create a stronger bond.
Connections.
Religion
connecting us to the sky and the trees
Invisible strings tie through our souls so we don’t fly away
as hopeful eyes gaze at the stars, seeking answers
to explain the actions of their hearts.
Connection beyond genetics or climate
A shared heart and a common mind
Beliefs.
Gender
separation within the species,
locked in a torrid seduction,
attracted as opposites,
doomed to never truly understand
survival of the species relying on
the chains that hold us together
Procreation.
World
a giant chunk of cooled lava,
covered in essential resources,
hurtling through space,
Layered and layered with conflict
Exactly the same, noticing every difference
Connected and divided by every little thing
