Genesis: Origins Part One
Shat forth, growling and hissing, into this cold and unjust world
To resist the infesting god and his worthless word
I am the salt on the leech and each day I defy
A faithless faith of wraiths with their moaning and insistent cries
A genesis born in sweet throes of pain
Evolution forged in the cradle to the grave
I deny your fraud, your god
On the cusp of the new dawn
I refuse your god, your fraud
To be a part of games, your pawn
A blight on this world I have become in the waking hours
I spit the bile, so vile, from my mouth, it turns sour
Pentagrams carved in the flesh in magical rites
Feasting on the meat of the lamb, full of forbidden delights
The genesis born when tragedy strikes
Evolution forged when the day gives way to night
I resist your fraud, your god
Those past days are so far gone
I detest your god, your fraud
For my sins, I cannot atone
I can see your faces
Lost and confused
Into your soul, I have
Been infused
My very word have
Been construed
And in the heart of God
I’ve been
Refused
I stand before the precipice
In fabled lands where the stars have kissed
To cast myself into the void, testing damnation
There was no light, no voice or divine intervention
Nothing there to see
But the great black abyss staring back at me
There would be no Heaven for me
No singing seraphim in gilded trees
Just a cold and cursed world, pain untold awaits
Full of jealous blackened vile heart beating with pure hate
There’s nothing to do
But shiver in winter storms where cold winds blew
No warming hands in this land of the damned
Souls behold the hate unfold
And thus the dawn it spawned
Temptation in the guise
Of forsaken treasure and depraved pleasures
Bound to the hearts of man
And so guilty eyes burned into minds
Consume the heart with bitter pills
But still, they place the blame
On those the same, just like them
This genesis, a one shot deal
Rolled the dice and miserably failed
To resist the infesting god and his worthless word
I am the salt on the leech and each day I defy
A faithless faith of wraiths with their moaning and insistent cries
A genesis born in sweet throes of pain
Evolution forged in the cradle to the grave
