Psalms: Origins Part Three
Daylight burns across the skies
Choked with the smoke of those who died
Upon the face of such disgrace
The fate of man rests on him
On this hour sacrifices must be made
In the world of man, I lived as a lowly drifter
Seeking which is denied to me
Companionship, but lo, the decree
Carved in the stone in ancient tongues of shifters
Why must I face Armageddon so alone
The bestial horde baying for blood
As this beaten man kneels in the mud
I bore the great weight on my shoulders to atone
The was no golden dawn
To greet me daily
Thus enchained
In lasting twilight
But then she came to me
A wraith of faith betwixt
Those burning wicks
A twisted jinx
Refuse and defuse
The Heaven sent
And hidden midnight swoons
Stayed there ‘neath the moon
In spring’s harvest
Before death’s caress
Consumes the bloom
With silver spoons
God rest my soul at last
In my paradise
With lost loves
Found in darkness
Thus, this tragedy would not stay its wicked talons
Fate finally caught hold of Faith
A wisp of doom with fingers like wraiths
And left me, once again, in a world callous
Dancing with the stars
So far out of reach
It seems as if my
Blood has been
Slowly leeched
I touch the scar
She left with a kiss
My final moments
When will I
Succumb to this?
And thus I ask myself, what exactly was my sin?
But the sin was his all alone
The whispered curses in ancient tones
Tell me, was I meant for more than Satan’s grin?
God damn those years of past
Left my soul untouched
Encumbered
With suffering trails
She was a glimpse of light
In my pit of darkness
Mouths of madness
Sang songs of sadness
Lament until spent
In eaves where bells are hung
Gothic romances sting
With deathly tinge
And hymns are sung
From ravaged lungs
I spy her on spires
From inside the fire
On burning sands
I await
In my empty heart
I never want to part
Severed from you
Why can’t you stay?
I bleed each night
Suffer in this plight
Torn away from our
Love so true
In this grip of pain
I will leave a stain
Grant me one wish
To die without you
You touch the stars
In a chrysalis
Now eternity
Has gained an
Angel in bliss
I touch the scar
She left with a kiss
My final moments
When will I
Succumb to this?
Choked with the smoke of those who died
Upon the face of such disgrace
The fate of man rests on him
