Flicker



A large light flashed like it knew something,

So her eyes grew dark and swampy.

"Something like a withered shadow," they say she became.

She disappears, though, at the touch of pain.



Flicker, flicker, she goes back and forth between minds.

No disorder, nothing but a lack of decent pills.

Flicker, flicker, she goes back and forth between ideas.

She goes back and forth between everything.

Everything to her seems to flicker like a lampshade.

And she sits and wonders

When will her innocence return?



Breathing used to be easier than eating a piece of cake,

But now everything goes down the drain.

With the touch of the button, she shoves it all,

She shoves it all till she feels the fallout.
